When it comes to luxury, we think of the Burj Al Arab. The worlds number one 7 star hotel is set on an island in an iconic sail-shaped building. Complete with a helipad, 9 restaurants and even 24-carat gold iPads in the rooms, it's easy to see why Dubai is known for it's swanky hotels. Another of their impressive features is their light show. A single automated, touch screen system controls over 100 Irideon AR500 colour changing fixtures! In addition to its lights illuminating the outside of the hotel, the Burj Al Arab also has an impressive deck and pool area. Dubai's Lighting Vision for 2021

Temperatures can easily reach in excess of 45 degrees in Dubai, so they have come up with a plan to reduce heat as much as possible. LED lamps benefit from a cold surface which will help to reduce heat output in offices and homes by as much as 90% when compared to a similar incandescent. Not only reducing heat, switching to LED lamps throughout the whole of Dubai is expected to save on average Dh400 million annually! Leading the way in switching to LED is Dubai's government houses, followed by hotels and shopping malls such as the iconic Ibn Battuta Mall.
