Controlling your LEDs
Can I control my LEDs from my phone?
Yes. Many of our controllers support app control over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth through the Tuya / Smart Life or MiBoxer apps.
Are your controllers compatible with Alexa or Google Home?
Yes. Tuya / Smart Life compatible controllers work with both voice assistants.
Can I control multiple LED zones independently?
Yes, using a multi-zone controller or several single-zone controllers.
What is DMX control and do I need it?
DMX is the professional protocol for advanced effects and programming. It’s ideal for complex or large installations; most homes don’t need it.
Do I need a receiver as well as a controller?
Some controllers are all-in-one; wireless systems usually need both a controller and a receiver. Check the product details or ask us.
Can I use a remote and an app together?
Yes, many of our smart controllers support both at the same time.
LED tape
What is LED tape?
A flexible circuit board with surface-mounted LEDs, giving a low-profile light source that fits almost anywhere.
What’s the difference between 12V and 24V LED tape?
24V is better for longer runs with less voltage drop; 12V suits smaller projects.
Can I cut LED tape?
Yes, at the marked cut points, using compatible connectors or soldering. Or let us cut and solder it for you.
Is LED tape dimmable?
Yes, with a dimmable driver or a compatible controller.
How do I install LED tape?
Self-adhesive backing makes installation easy. We recommend mounting it in an aluminium profile for durability and heat dissipation — it’s also a warranty condition.
Do I need a controller for LED tape?
Required for RGB, RGBW and CCT tape. Single-colour tape can run from a basic dimmer or switched power.
How long can I run LED tape?
Roughly 5 m for 12V and 10 m for 24V before voltage drop, unless you add amplifiers or extra feeds. Ask us about longer runs.
Is LED tape waterproof?
Some is — look for IP65, IP67 or IP68 depending on where it’s going.
Can I use LED tape outdoors?
Yes, with IP67 or higher tape and weatherproof connectors or enclosures.
