Q: Do I need an account to place an order?
A: No, you can check out as a guest. However, creating an account lets you track your orders, save favourites, and access exclusive offers.
Q: Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
A: If your order hasn’t been dispatched yet, we may be able to amend or cancel it. Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept all major credit and debit cards, Klarna (Pay Later), and bank transfer for bespoke quotes or trade orders.
Q: Do you offer trade accounts or discounts for installers?
A: Yes, we offer trade pricing and support for electricians, AV integrators, and commercial clients. Get in touch to apply for a trade account.
Q: Can I return a product if I change my mind?
A: Yes, you can return unused items within 14 days of receipt. Made-to-measure or custom items, such as our LED Strip Lights cannot be cancelled or returned (unless faulty) Products must be in original packaging and in resaleable condition. See More

Q: How long does delivery take?
A: Standard UK delivery typically takes 2–3 working days from the date of dispatch. Orders placed before our cut-off time are usually processed the same day.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: At the moment, we only ship within the UK. We’re working on expanding our delivery options, so stay tuned! For now, all orders must be delivered to a UK address.
Q: How much is UK delivery?
A: UK standard delivery is free for orders over £75 Ex VAT This is for orders less than 1 metre, For longer items charges will apply and be shown at checkout.
Q: How can I track my order?
A: Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking link via email so you can follow its progress in real time.
Q: What happens if my parcel is delayed or lost?
A: If your order hasn’t arrived within the expected time, please contact our support team. We’ll investigate and make it right as quickly as possible.
What do I need?
Q: What sort of wattage do I need for my area?
A: The wattage you need depends on the size of the space and the type of lighting effect you want. As a general guide:
For ambient lighting in small rooms, around 5-10 watts per square meter is typical.
For task or accent lighting, you may want 10-20 watts per square meter.
Larger or commercial spaces often require higher wattage or multiple lighting zones.
If you provide the dimensions and your lighting goals, our team can help recommend the best wattage and products for your project.
Q: What IP rating do I need for my lighting?
A: It depends on where you’ll install your lights:
Indoor, dry areas: IP20 or higher is usually sufficient.
Bathrooms or kitchens (damp areas): Aim for IP44 or above to protect against splashes.
External wet environments: IP67 or above is recommended for waterproof protection.

How do I control my LEDs
Q: Can I control my LEDs with my phone?
A: Yes! Many ArcLED controllers support app control via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Look for models compatible with Smart Life, Tuya, or similar platforms.
Q: Are your controllers compatible with Alexa or Google Home?
A: Yes, our smart controllers that use Tuya or Smart Life apps can be connected to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for voice control.
Q: Can I control multiple LED zones independently?
A: Yes, with a multi-zone controller or multiple single-zone controllers, you can manage different areas separately through one remote or app.
Q: What is DMX control and do I need it?
A: DMX is a professional lighting control protocol that allows advanced effects, scene programming, and integration with stage or architectural lighting systems. It’s ideal for large or complex installations, especially with pixel lighting.
Q: Do I need a receiver as well as a controller?
A: Some controllers are all-in-one, but wireless systems often need a controller (transmitter) and receiver (receiver unit). Check the product details or ask us if you’re unsure.
Q: Can I use a remote and an app together?
A: In many cases, yes. Some smart controllers support both app control and remote access simultaneously for added convenience.
What LED tape do I need?
Q: What is LED tape?
A: LED tape (or LED strip lighting) is a flexible circuit board with surface-mounted LEDs that provide lighting in a low-profile, versatile format. It’s ideal for under-cabinet lighting, accent lighting, signage, and architectural features.
Q: What’s the difference between 12V and 24V LED tape?
A: Both work similarly, but 24V tape is better for longer runs with less voltage drop, while 12V tape is ideal for smaller or more precise projects. Be sure to match your power supply to the tape voltage.
Q: Can I cut LED tape?
A: Yes, most LED tapes can be cut at marked intervals (e.g., every 3 or 6 LEDs). Always cut on the indicated line and use compatible connectors or solder the ends for reconnection.
Q: Is LED tape dimmable?
A: Yes, as long as you use a dimmable driver or a compatible LED controller. Dimming can be done via remote, app, wall control, or smart home system.
Q: How do I install LED tape?
A: Most LED tapes come with a self-adhesive backing for easy installation. For a cleaner and longer-lasting finish, we recommend mounting it inside aluminium profiles which help with heat dissipation and protection.
Q: Do I need a controller for LED tape?
A: You’ll need a controller for RGB, RGBW, or CCT LED tape to change colours and effects. Single-colour tapes can be used with a basic dimmer or switched power supply.
Q: How long can I run LED tape?
A: It depends on the voltage and power supply. As a general rule:
12V LED tape: Max run of ~5 meters without voltage drop.
24V LED tape: Max run of ~10 meters.
For longer runs, use amplifiers or additional power feeds.
Q: Is LED tape waterproof?
A: Some LED tapes are rated IP65, IP67, or IP68 for water resistance. Choose based on where you’ll install them — indoor, outdoor, or in wet areas like bathrooms.
Q: Can I use LED tape outdoors?
A: Yes, but make sure to choose an IP-rated waterproof LED tape (IP67 or higher) and use weatherproof connectors and enclosures.
