When Fry’s Grillhouse Plymouth opened in September 2025, the goal wasn’t just to create another steakhouse – it was to create an experience. From the moment guests arrive, the atmosphere had to feel bold, modern, and welcoming. That’s where the ArcLED lighting came in.

Why Lighting Was Key

Lighting at Fry’s isn’t just functional – it’s the heartbeat of the design. Every LED was chosen and positioned to shape the customer journey and bring the interiors to life:

Warm Entrance Lighting – to make the first impression inviting and comfortable.

Accent LEDs – highlighting textures in wood, metal, and décor details.

Neon Features – adding a modern, vibrant edge that matches Fry’s bold branding

Underbench & Floor Lighting – guiding flow through the restaurant and enhancing atmosphere without distraction.

Why We Used Pixel Tape to Highlight the Feature Wall

In the restaurants design, sometimes it’s the subtle details that make the biggest impact. At Fry’s Grillhouse, a small run of SPI Pixel LED tape was installed to bring definition and energy to a key feature wall oppisite the main bar.

Reasons for Choosing Pixel Tape:

• Dynamic Accent – unlike standard LEDs, pixel tape allows movement, gradients, and soft fades, creating a living wall effect without overpowering the space.

• Subtle but Effective – only a small amount was needed; the controlled glow draws the eye and defines the feature wall, adding depth to the interior.

• Flexible Integration – the slim format of the tape meant it could be installed seamlessly into the design.

• Brand Personality – the programmable lighting reflects the bold, modern identity of Fry’s Grillhouse.

By using pixel tape sparingly, the wall becomes more than a backdrop – it becomes part of the restaurant’s story. It’s proof that you don’t always need huge lighting installations; sometimes a little detail can transform a whole space.
